Ads are displayed only on screens with substantive content. Ads are never shown on authentication screens, onboarding screens, or loading states.
You can opt out of personalized advertising on iOS via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and on Android via Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization. You may also visit google.com/settings/ads to manage your Google ad preferences.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use Supabase for database hosting, authentication, and storage. Supabase processes data only on our behalf.
- Advertising: We use Google AdSense / AdMob. Google's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Analytics: We use PostHog for usage analytics. This service receives aggregated usage data to help us understand how the Service is used.
- Public Leaderboard Data: Your username, level, XP totals, and streak are visible to other users on the leaderboard. You can view other users' public profile data.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.

5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. Weekly XP is reset to zero each Monday as part of normal Service operation — this reset affects the weekly leaderboard only; your lifetime XP and level are never reset. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures including HTTPS encryption for all transmitted data, secure token storage on your device (iOS Keychain, Android EncryptedSharedPreferences), row-level security on all database tables, and short-lived access tokens with rotating refresh tokens.

Ball Knowledge is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at ballknowingdevelopers@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly. The Service requires users to confirm they are at least 13 years old at registration.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to opt out of personalized advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us at ballknowingdevelopers@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what information we collect and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
9. International Users
Ball Knowledge is operated in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by updating the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, by push notification or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
